Well the first day of the IBM IMPACT show is off to a great start. In case you missed any of the activities, you can stream the events here.
Along with the news of the Cast Iron acquisition and a slew of new products across the IBM Software Group portfolio, WebLayers was named a finalist in the 2010 IBM Impact Business Partners Awards in the category of Smarter Decision Management. This award recognizes IBM Business Partners that use IBM WebSphere software to enable customers to make better business decisions through the use of technology. Thanks...it's nice to be recognized.
Meanwhile, I have to admit that of all the industry conferences I've been to through the years, the folks at IBM really know how to pull off an event. The opening session was remarkable and the keynote from Ford Motor Company is one that's definitely worth replaying as it will certainly make you believe in turnaround business success stories that result from smart planning and excellent execution -- reminds me a bit of the 90s with IBM.
For everybody on Twitter, you can keep up to date on all things IMPACT -- including some last minute activities -- via #ibmimpact so be sure to track the hashtag along with the other news and schedule changes that are bound to happen out over the next few days.
Anyway, with more than 5,000 people here, I've got a packed schedule so have to go...but will share more IMPACT highlights in the coming days.
